Institutes and universities offer a variety of online training courses that are now easily accessible thanks to the spread of digital technologies. Mercatorum, the online university of the Italian Chambers of Commerce, offers degree courses that represent a real bridge between training and the world of work, thanks to a constant analysis of the training needs of companies. The idea of proposing a higher education course aimed at art professionals and graduates in the humanities, based on an innovative scientific protocol, was born from the synergy between Mercatorum and the Amedeo Modigliani Foundation. The Amedeo Modigliani Foundation in collaboration with Mercatorum has created a course that develops from a database of pictorial works, re-examining the bibliography of the pictorial technique used by the artist, to unpublished scientific information and to the chemical-physical study on authentic works of the artist. By using all these skills and knowledge, a model was created to record and cross-check all the information obtained from the comparison between the authentic works and the results obtained from the attributed study. The course will be integrated with applied graphology studies and stylistic investigation techniques. Aspects of the art market and investment in art will be enhanced. The course includes 5 modules that can be used entirely online, to which are added a Practical Laboratory, an Archival Laboratory (with reference to the Modigliani Archive) and a Final Exam, with the acquisition by the students of 31 overall training credits. The Scientific Technical Committee is made up of high-level professionals, including Livio Ferrazza, Scientific Expert of Cultural Heritage and Doctor of Chemistry, Greta García Hernández, Doctor of Fine Arts, Science and Restoration of Historic-Artistic Heritage and Superior Technician in Restoration of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Institut Valencia de Conservació, Restauració i Investigació IVCR + i, Victoria Soto, Expert in the work of Amedeo Modigliani, Doctor of Art History and Professor of Art History, David Juanes, Expert in Analysis Scientific of works of art, Doctor of Physical Sciences, José Antonio Madrid, Expert in the Radiographic Study of Art, Doctor of Fine Arts, Science and Restoration of Historic-Artistic Heritage, Professor at the Department of Cultural Heritage Restoration and Supervisor of Installations Radioactive, Cinzia Tesio, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cuneo with a thesis in History of Art and Conservation of Cultural Heritage and subsequent specialization in the History of Art Criticism in Ravenna.
